Chainsaw adjustment

/ Chainsaw adjustment #21
Try Seafoam for the gunked up carbs. NEVER use fuel older than a month, pour it into a car, a little mix won't hurt the average big car engine. An extra $ or two for fuel is far less than an hour of shop labor.

Since RRM went from 'sputter to "Vaa RRM ooM" Can any one set me straight on the real story on 93 octane? Does it also contain methanol? Recently I've been using "High-Test" in all my smaller engines, Marine, ATV's, Chainsaws, etc. Still use the 10%Meth in the car, but that gets replenished on a weekly basis. Should a 'splash' of Seafoam, or Stabil, be a 'steady diet' in these other units?? TIA ~Scotty

My fuel usually gets used up over a period of six months or so, but we have no ethanol in our fuel here, either. At least not that I'm aware of.

All the mix oil I use (either Husqvarna or Stihl) has a fuel conditioner/stabilizer in it anyway, so I only add fuel stabilizer to straight gas engines (snowblower, lawn nmower, etc.)

Be careful what you use mixed gas in, catalytic converters really don't like it. I save my old mixed gas for mowers, snowblowers.
