Changing antifreeze in b2650/3350

Got a dumb question about the above. After you drain out the old fluid, how do you make sure that the air is purged from the heater in the cab roof? Does that happen when the thermostat is closed and fluid is forced thru the heating system until the thermostat opens when it warms up?
If anyone could enlighten this old guy it would be great!

sandyc-I've changed the coolant on our B3030 cab model several times.
It's most surely the same in these regards.
I proceed with my service as follows:
With radiator cap still on,open the coolant drain valve-this allows the coolant from the expansion tank to be siphoned out by the vacuum created in the radiator from the draining coolant.
I leave the heater control open so the cab heater core drains as well-remove radiator cap to complete the draining process.
Mix up a 50/50 mixture of conventional green coolant and distilled water and refill radiator.
Start engine-coolant level will drop some as the coolant is rather easily filling the overhead core.
You can tell that the heater is filled when there is some heat output from the cab heater.
After running awhile,top off radiator,install cap and top off expansion tank.
It can take some time to get the thermostat open on these little diesels.
Check both radiator and expansion tank levels when cool,they will probably need a little adjustment the first or even second cold start-up.
