Changing lift arm chains ans turnbuckle to telescope

I have a jd5500. It has the chains with a turn buckle on outside of lift arms but I would like to change to telescoping. I would like to have pin holes set up for my specific implements. I am hoping to get a quick simple adjustment set up. The turn buckles and lock nut always need a wrench to loosen and I am kind of lazy. Any suggestions or should I just weld rebar to turnbuckle and change lock nuts to wing nuts. Thanks for the help.
