Oil & Fuel Changing TC24d Fuel Filter

   / Changing TC24d Fuel Filter #21
OK, finally got the fuel filter changed tonight. The bowl ring on my tractor wasnt on tight at all (thankfully). If it was I can see how much of a pain it would be to get off. As it is b/c of tight quarters you really have to 'worry' the ring off. I manged to use a C type vise grip (the type youd use for holding pieces together when welding) to great advantage. I think having the oil filter off would make changing the fuel filter a bit easier. Im glad I dont have to do this again for a while. The good news is that this is the only filter thats a pain to change (if you have a loader).

Oh, one other item...when I was tractor shopping I made sure to determine how easy/difficult it was to change filters, add fluids etc. The thing I missed was not considering the interference caused by the loader and its frame. I wiser now. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
