Changing wheels

I have done it myself(4 filled R-1),but it is not any fun.

I agree that the tires can be changed, but I just think when you're dealing with the extra weight it's worth it to pay someone else to take the chance. I 'spose this attitude has something to do with the fact that I've had one of those filled tires try to use my leg as a wheel chock/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. Guess what? The leg lost/w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif!

Well this guy was 23, 5'10" 200lbs could bench 240 and almost blew a 3rd nut tilting up his 13.6-24 filled r-1's and there is a lot more rubber in a r-4. Then again I know a concrete guy who is pushing 60 and can run circles around me at a worksite.

ditto, be careful.

Centex,
Those tires can be changed one at a time. All you have to do is change the hub on the inside of the tire. Take it off and turn it around to the widest position. That way you can do one tire at a time without having to take both of them off. There are about 8 or 10 different settings that you can put the tires at.

I hear ya. I already pushed 60 and am on the downhill side. With a tire that is down flat to the ground, a bit of cribbing and a pry pole, will assist one to get the tire up closer to standing on edge, then careful balancing is the name of the game. Best to not try to do this alone, and a flat, hard working surface, like concrete or asphalt, is helpful. These are all good things to kick around before attempting to do this without professional (whatever that means?) help.

Sounds like you been there and done that before Richard. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Yea and I had to redo it Hillbilly!!! I have 600 lbs. of weights on my wheels and they are a pain to change!!! Anyway I changed both of them and the next day I was looking and I'd set the one wheel different that the other!! Had to go through that whole pain of taking all those weights off and changing it again! Before I got that big goosneck I would have to change them if I took the tractor in so it would fit on my bumper pull flatbed. That was a pain in the you know what as well.

BTW I'll try and have that business plan for you tomorrow. I had to get a new all in one fax, copier, etc. today as the old one finally died at the office. It was an hp and I've been keeping it fixed the last few months hoping I didn't have to buy a new. Today it went down for good. I'm no Harv for sure on these computer deals but I had it mostly running when I left tonight. Hopefully I can finish setting it up tomorrow.

Take your time Richard on that buisiness plan(whenever)no hurry.
We just bought a Dell Dimension 4300 S also a Lexmark X-83,copier printer fax which we like.

The wheel weights add insult to the injury.
Anyway take your time.
Thanks
Hillbilly

Oh man Harv I would take a little of your computer expertise for sure right now. This downloading drivers and loading, etc. is a pain!!! I'm kind of out of my element as you know my limited computer expertise. I hope I can get it going this morning. I'm downloading another driver right now and hope this one will work. The all in one is setup for xp but I have Windows 2000 prof. and it wouldn't run right. Hopefully this download will make it work.
