It is expensive, but it's still pretty nice. Unfortunately, my budget will only (barely) allow me to buy a 3-pt carry all from TSC for $125 and then fab up something out of scrap lumber to put on the carry all.
There's plenty of "estate owners" who buy tractors who wouldn't blink at buying one of them, especially if they bought it at the time of purchase and were able to finance it with their tractor. I hope he sells a ton of them and realizes his dream of building a product and company from scratch! I'm not a marketing expert, but I think the key is to try and get them into the hands of tractor dealers so prospective customers can see them. Sell them a "demo, not for resale, unit" for cost (or below). I'd focus on dealers that are closer to urban/suburban markets rather than the rural dealers that sell big farm equipment. Maybe start by sending these dealers a literature packet that includes a CD/DVD with a bunch of videos of it in use. If he can include videos of actual customers using the product, that would be even better.
I do know (from another forum) that he's already selling through Mutton Power Equipment in IN.
Like I said - I can't afford it, but I wish him all the luck in the world to make this a success!!
Also, THANKS to Big Tool Rack for being an advertiser on this site! Without guys like him, we'd be hounded to buy "premium memberships" like so many other special interest forums do in order to pay for servers, etc.
