I saw one today at the Power Show in Ohio. Had 4 wheel steer and a 24" auger mounted on the front.

Rat started a thread on this back in November. <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=other&Number=202243&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1>click here to read it </A>

It is pricey to me, but to a contractor or construction company, it might be just the ticket. Pretty impressive machine, isn't it?

$30K...man, that would buy several well-equipment 400's!

I wonder if PT has patents on the articulating design. Seems like it would be much easier to make the tractor articulate rather than design the complicated 4 wheel steer/4 wheel drive/independent suspension setup on the Toolcat.

Anyway, I think we can adapt the PT to put a small bed above the engine like the Toolcat. It would involve moving the fan and radiator to the back. I think that’s a good idea anyway because that’s the way the engine fan is blowing (on the PT400’s) and such a design would compliment engine and engine compartment cooling. Looks like the oil cooler might fit without much effort.

I would like to have a bed on the PT because I frequently find myself needing to haul stuff while using the FEL. Also, such a design would allow easy access to anything in the bed without having to leave the tractor seat…like cold beverages for example. The BX guys brag about their cup holder. What about an entire cooler holder? Hmmm.

The engine is under the seat but it does Articulate and Oscillate. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
