You've found a new use for a tractor - chiken plucker

Only experience I've had with that was the neighbor's cat in my truck fanbelt. He didn't fare so well. Fanbelt was fine.

I leave all the hoods up on my tractors, it helps keep the mice from nesting in there because they don't like being out in the open. Slamming the hood closed also helps scare the animals that might be in there.

About five years ago I had a wood rat go thru the fan on my Jeep. Nozzle on the garden hose took care of that situation. He had built a monster nest right on top of the engine. I leave the hood open on my tractor and truck now. Exact same reason as per - BeezFun.

You hear stories about big snakes curled up in the engine compartment, only to be found by the gas station guy checking your oil 250 miles down the road.

Wait.....that was 50 years ago, the checking the oil part.

Had that happen with some mice under the hood of the walkbehind lawn mower. Mouse parts all over the place.

Mom's cat once took a ride with us, 13 miles to auto place and 13 miles back. She came out while they were servicing the car but showed up back at Mom's. So, the cat came back in. Actually, it got between the fender liner and fender.

Had a big black rat snake stick its head out from the instrument panel of my tractor while mowing once. Had a heck of a time getting her out of there.
