Chevy 2500 Gasser Axle Ratio?

Essentially, but since the 2007 models only come with 4.10s a lower ratio wasn't an option.

mmmmmm smell that? i do its a set of 285 75 16 bfg allterrain k/o's coming to that new truck in your drive

im on my 3rd 6.0 since 99
1st was a 99 3/4 ton x-cab 4x4 with bfg's got about 12-14
2nd was a 2004 denali 6.0 with 20 x 10 rims all wheel drive (wife drives it now) and its getting 14.2 as of today
3rd is 2007 "new" sierra with 6.0 and displacement on demand 4x4 crew cab, ive yet to get above an average of 12.5 on it but i tow my bx23 on a 18 foot trailer at least twice a week.

I think you are right on the 285's when the time comes. Even 265s would look small because the truck sits so high.

285's look great, you will have to trim just a bit off the plastic shield on the under side of the front bumper. i didnt see is it a 4x4?

No it's a 2WD. I will go with the 265 as I don't really need anything bigger and they don't require trimming the plastic.

I don't think it would hold up very long, not to mention ten thousand pounds will push 1/2 ton truck around like it aint even there.

I laugh every time I see those advertisements about a half ton towing a large boat. I want to see them in the mountains with that boat on the back. I thought my 1/2 ton Silverado would handle our boat just fine it weighs around 9000 to 9500#. Boy was I wrong, you can tell it is back there behind my 2500 HD but it handles it well. I would challenge Toyota to pull our boat in the mountains anyday or Ford or Chevy with a half ton.
