Chevy pickup limited slip differential (viscous coupling?)

GM recommends fluid with NO friction modifiers. Some people that throw any 'ol fluid in there might have a problem. I have never had a problem with any G80. Just remember the Ford ELD is a manually engaged locker that you have to initiate when you need it. Some of the LSD's that the F150's had were replaced under warranty(clutches)and the problems returned. Some of the new ELD's will lock and stay locked until you back up, turn, etc. When locked, it WILL chatter and hop while turning on dry pavement.

Talking about problems with dumb salesmen at dealers...when the neighbor bought his F150, the sales guy said the lower the diff's gear ratio number, the better for pulling. In other words, a 3.31 is better than a 3.73. Funny

Did a little testing (at 30 miles ownership ) The Ford Electric Locking Differential works as expected (a full "LOCKER") but I have to wait for snow/ice to test the Traction control "Off". (fingers crossed it doesn't p*** me off)

OK so your traction control works automatically unless you turn it off, and the locker is strictly manually engaged and disengaged. The is probably the best of both worlds,

Now all you need is a anti-sway bar disconnect to let your suspension move. Nice pic though.

From what I remember when shopping a couple years ago, the clutch-type limited slip diff on the F-150 isn't nearly as good as the Eaton auto-locker that GM uses, so the Ford e-locker is definitely a good option to get.

That won't help with the f150's independent front suspension. Independent suspension has very little articulation.

It only has 130 miles on it at the moment. Maybe after closer to 200,000 miles I may consider mods like that, if I'm still feisty then
