Child safety at Disney. Any advice???

Ya'll got me scared now. We are going when the little one turns 3, other one will be 10. I know how much attention CD takes and his sister thinks she's 20 and not 9. I'll have to figure out something or we'll be crazy. We had an adventure just getting our last kid into this world, and not a fun one, don't know what I'd do if I ever lost sight of them in a crowded place. I'll probably have pictures, transponders, and a leash on them if I think about it too much.

My $.02. I would not take my kid to any amusement park until at least age 6. We took our boy to Disney at 6 with an extended family trip and found he was about the right age. My wife begged me to take us at 3 y.o. and i wouldn't go along. I see so many parents dragging new borns and less than 2 y.o.s around and that really confuses me. Other than pics for future viewing, what will the kids remember?

Do what you feel is right to keep you little ones SAFE.

BTW- I think the setup at Disney is the ultimate in family friendly, especially if staying on the grounds.

Well, We just got back from Disney and everything went fine. I turns out that my girls constantly had a hold of my hand pulling me to another ride/attraction. So, I couldn't lose them if I wanted to !!! They had a great time and The beach ( Indian Rocks ) was fantastic.

Our large company hosted an open house yrs ago that included static displays of military aircraft. There were thousands there...........

I happened to be on curtousy duty, where we tried to guide people and help out where needed.

As I was wanding through the throng of people, a small boy, maybe 8, almost ran into me. He was scared and crying, and obviously LOST.

I snatched him, kneeled to talk with him, then raised him up high above my head as I rotated him 360 degrees. I told him to look for his parents. Wasn't a minute until his dad saw him.

The poor kid was looking at adult kneecaps and guess what, they all look the same to a kid!

I think the key to tell the child is if you get separated, STAND STILL and let us find you!

Have fun,
ron
