I'm thinking that Gojo would be MORE effective as a hand wash then something like, Purell - which is having a run, also off the store shelves. Fortunately I have a vast amount of Gojo. CDC should be giving us lists of what is effective and what is not, if the focus is on hand washing. If you are washing in Chlorine, what is the solution that is effective: 10%-20%? Rechecked today at several local stores and they were sold out on what is normally considered anti-viral cleaning products. I will give a big shout out for Bi-Mart, they secured many pallets of Bleach, put them front and center and are not charging anything more than normal prices. I think many people will be doing full cleans in the near future, they should also know that Ammonia and Bleach can not be mixed. This mix makes Hydrochloric acid which is not good to breath or have contact with.

GoJo is more of an abrasive dirty hand cleaner that a sanitizer. I have that too. Great for washing greasy mitts. Not so go ad killing germs. You want a gelled alcohol based hand sanitizer, not a cleaner. I'm not doing anything different than I always have. This time of the year I'm always cognizant of ill mannered people sneezing and coughing without covering their mouths or noses. I stay away from idiots like that. I've never had a flu shot and don't plan on ever getting one either. I just practice due diligence when it comes to being around strangers, especially ignorant ones.

Not good indeed. :shocked: Youngsters and senior citizens are most at risk. In a nursing home the virus could be a death sentence for all of them. Washington had the first USA death and now this, that state could become the USA version of Wuhan.

I wonder how easy it would be for gatherings such as church services to start doing podcasts.
My mother in laws church broadcasts the services on the radio for people who can't make it to church. I wouldn't be surprised if the big churchs stream services on the internet.

I don't know the correct terms but believe that "streaming" is what I was thinking of. My mother goes to a small church and tries to attend every Sunday, if things got really bad she would really appreciate being able to still participate in the services. Hopefully the virus won't achieve it's full potential and will subside before reaching fear monger status.

The question was for infantry, "if you knew there was to be an atomic attack in five hours, how deep would you dig a hole?".

The answer was.........."five hours deep".

I guess all that most of us can do is take whatever precautions are available to us...be it hand washing, face masks, or isolation etc. May I live to see the answer to this question....although I still see it just another fairly new virus going around. Deus meus, miserere nobis.

I saw where the Surgeon General tweeted that we should stop buying masks. That seems wrong to me. If the government sees a need for more masks why don't they put out a contract for more masks so the manufacturers can add more shifts or open a new plant. It would be good for the economy. It would add jobs. Anyway If people feel like having masks is going to help them and their families stay healthy they are going to buy masks. What is with all this stupid tweeting anyway?

I think the idea is if regular people buy up all the masks there won't be enough for health care professionals. I don't know where health care organizations get their masks but I doubt it is from Home Depot or CVS.
