Great they will sell them over there for about 4 years then a china company will copy the RV sell it over there cheeper nad then exportthem over seas to the US the Us company will be out of business in 12 years.
This is the same thing that has been going on for years. They import it to china copy and then export it.

Boy, you are optimistic ! I don't think it would take them four years. And you give twelve to the company they copied? I'd cut those numbers in half............... :(

While flying to Asia I talked to a guy from some company based in MN making air tools. They contracted a Chinese manufacturer to make the tools for them and it almost bankrupted the company. The contractor built new plant and was making not exact copies but pretty close ones (but using their know how) of their air tools and drove them out of business by selling them cheap. Then they smarted up and hired a guy from Taiwan to manage the Chinese business. Now they manufacture every part in different Chinese factory and assemble it it India. Well the experience didn't help to keep US jobs at home.

I did business with Asia, it is no different than doing business in any part of the world.

You and your companies have to look for the next meal ticket.

One cannot stamp out bolts forever, much sooner than you anticipate someone will find a better bolt, a leaner process, a cheaper supplier, or make the bolt obsolete.

Whew.....very relieved to find out that they are buying 200 Boeing aircraft, not Boeing.

The scary thing is that it is believeable that the Chinese could buy Boeing, and that America would let it happen. We could learn a little about nationalism from the Chinese. They are focused on achieving national goals that were laid out more than 50 years ago. We are quarterly profit driven, that's why I could believe that Boeing would be readily offered up to the Chinese for the right price.

Boeing and most every US company is for sale everyday: It's called the stock market. If they wanted it bad enough, they could buy Boeing, or any other company.

I do believe that the feds would be involved for them to buy a majority stake.

It seems like as recently as the 80's, when the Japanese had all the money, some industies were designated as essential to national defense to protect them from foreign interests.

Could something like that happen today?
