China products VS USA made.

I try not to buy anything from China, no matter how cheap. Other countries it depends. As someone stated, China views us as the enemy. Chinese generals have been quoted in USA Today saying as much. Money we send overseas, in many cases, is ultimately used against us. On less expensve items, I look for US made or at least not Chinese products if US is not available, which sadly is the case more and more. I have been Wal-Mart free for six years! I did a year or so ago buy a (turns out) Chinese-powered gas water pump. About half the cost of a B&S model, but nagging cheap parts and accessories that I have had to replace and lost time have made me really regret not paying the extra $$. I try to look at paying more for US products as. if not better quality, at least I am supporting an American worker. Much better than subsidizing an American on unemployment.

Off my soapbox now.

I'm glad to hear everyone has something to say about. It's so hard for me to send my money to a different country. But like everyone said. Sometimes thats all we have to pick from.

Thanks again for everything!!

You know, you can "try" your butt off not buying stuff made in China, but it's really hard to avoid these days.
I'm not saying that you want to, but I got a feeling you do it anyway (all of us) because in some cases you don't even know. Just take a look at all your stuff that surrounds you right now. Look at everything and see where it's made or what's inside it and where that comes from.
Now determine how selective you've really been.

Hmm.. Everyone of us is using something manufactured in a foreign country. Right now. There isn't a single thing on any computer that is made in the US, and I'll bet almost all have some part that comes from china. The world is a global economy whether you like it or not. Could the US be self relient. Sure,$20/gal gas, these computers we're using would probably cost as much as a small car. We'd all be growing our own rice, fast food to us would be a sandwich.

I don't search out Chinese products, but I haven't won the lottery so my wallet usually speaks for me and Chinese product are less expensive.
