Hello guys and gals
Well I have another project in the works last year I put a small Z 170 f on a 1959 craftsman sun tractor.. I got it running and it ran great for the entire summer at the end of summer one day while the kids were riding it it just died I did some research and found that the injector pump was no longer any good.. I tried to do some research and actually found which I thought was the right pump on ebay I purchased it and when I got it its not even close to being the right pump. The pump on my engine has a much longer internal shaft the part that I received goes on the smaller engines my engine is a different style but has the same numbers as the newer the z170f engine.. The jug on my engine runs horizontal where the pump I received from what I can find goes on the engines where the jug runs vertical I am almost out of resources trying to find a pump if anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it thanks for your help guys

.. As far as the governor that I have it works the exact same way a gas engine does basically the faster it spins the center pushes out and closes down my fuel pump turn slows down the engine.. I will take a few pictures of it tonight and post them.. Everything internal looks good that's why I'm confused as to what happened.. I'm not sure if it really tried to run away but it really started to rev up and before I could even do anything like a block off the intake it died started blowing a lot of white smoke and just died.. Up until that point it ran flawlessly no smoke no misfire it was perfect and then it was just like someone shut off the fuel.. I really appreciate all your help..
