My personal choice is to not buy anything (if possible) from china. Good luck with your shopping.

that's pretty hard to do these days!...unfortunately..

I agree, but if you buy something made "off shore" (another saying I dislike) you can and in most cases find alternatives not made in china.

i have a chinese tractor, and have had it for some time. not sure if this mob has a dealer in the USA but my model can be found
Agrison
its so basic to use, none of this electronic stuff, electronic systems just confuse the tractor and costs $$$ repairs!!
stick to basic!! old school technology i say

I am thinking of buying a new Chinese Tractor as they seem to be better value for dollar than the established Western makes.
Are there owners here that would / would not recommend them on personal experience? What are the better brands I should be looking at, or alternatively, avoiding.
Thanks,

im not sure if I entirely agree. with a used tractor you dont know where its been and hows it been treated. they are re-furbs and the dealers charge an arm and a leg and dont offer much warranty. at least with brand new chinese, you get good dollar value, and being the first owner you have no doubts - with chinese tractors they require ongoing maintenance and if you dont mind getting your hands dirty from time to time. thats what i think anyway. bye from Australia :))))

Not to ruffle any feathers, but I would buy a used good tractor rather than a Chineese tractor. They actually are getting pretty good at making engines by now, but the fit & finish & the poor metal they use on the rest of the machine - well just in my opinion they are a poor value.

why anyone would buy a tractor out of a crate with no dealer support baffles me. the only reservation I have about switching from New Holland to John Deere is that the New Holland dealer is a mile up the road and the John Deere dealer is 15 miles away.

when buying something new, I expect if anything breaks during the first 3 years to be fixed with no questions asked, and even get a loaner tractor while it's being fixed, after that I expect parts to be easily available for a long time. you don't get either of these things with a Chinese tractor. if you are seriously considering a Chinese tractor, you need a reality check. they are garbage and don't belong anywhere in this country. buy something green, red or blue from a reputable dealer.

Depends on which kind of tractor do you need, if you need small Hp compact Tractor, I suggest Jinxing Taishan;
big HP tractors, i have no idea.

My kioti does not have Chinese parts , it's 100 % Korean at least I know were it comes from. I don't have the problem with all feign trade but I do have problems with china, I think US buyers should boycott china, they , meaning the leadership, had darker goals in there mind than countries like Japan , Taiwan,S Korea,etc,they don't own US property like China, we need to wake up, before it's too late.
