Same question only for a 19hp pto......... category 1 ?
Thanks
I just went through a chipper search myself a bit ago and ended up with the wallenstein bx42 for my 29hp tractor. It should work on the smaller tractor asked about as well as the larger one, though a larger tractor may be able to use the wallenstein bx62 (6"). The reason I went with the wallenstein was that it had a great reputation, is super simple (direct drive, opens right up for easy blade access). The other main thing is that it has a 4x10" chute opening, which allows you to chip trees up to 4" even if they have branches and is great for brushy material. Mine doesn't have the hydro feed, but sucks stuff in so its self feeding in most situations, the only time I have to push is with a lot of brush. Due to the large opening I almost never have to trim something to get the branches to get in. I got mine lightly used for a great price. I've used mine for probably 20+ hours in the last few months and its been flawless. I would make sure to get a newer model with the twig breaker as it apparently makes a big difference for possible clogs (I haven't had any).
Whats the cost of these??
