In that other thread someone mentioned the adapter to fit on the valve stem. I was going to make one up out of whatever fittings it takes to go to a hose end. Any idea where to get the adapter. I looked at TSC's site but didn't come up with anything. You self fillers, did you make your own or purchase one? I've got to replace my rear tires before summer and I thought I'd just put water in them for the summer, then decide what to do come fall.

I just saw an adapter at TSC this morning. Cost about $10. I didn't see on the web sight or the catalogue, but it was at the store I went to. It was in the back along with other tire repair stuff. (At least in the store I was at)

NAPA Auto Parts has 3 different versions. Cheap-o is less than $10. Middle priced is around $20, and the PROFESSIONAL model is over $200.

I bought the cheap-o, and have done dozens of tires, with great success. It attaches directly to a garden hose.

The Kubota technical rep was just at my place looking into my L3400 3pt valve issue and I decided to ask him what his opinion was on loading tires.

He claims that Kubota is moving towards recommending othat tractor owners use a ballast box rather than filling tires. That was his opinion also - primarily because of the headache if I had a puncture.

His opinion was that my money was better spent on a quick-hitch to ensure that I had no real reason to not put my ballast box on :).

Not sure which way I'm going to go. Will still have the tire guy a shout today and get a quote. I did contact Rim Guard and found they they have no tire dealers in all of Ontario who use their product so it will have to be Calcium Chloride or Winshield Washer fluid.

We have citrus star in our rear turfs, on the new B3030. Citrus star is a commercial, food grade version of maple syrup. It's heavy, non corrosive and it will not freeze! We gained an additional 300 lbs in each rear wheel.

And I bet it tastes good too!

My local tire guy only does Calcium Chloride in tubes unfortunately. I asked about rim guard. Said he'd heard about it but did not use it.
