Yes , this truck and the one in your picture are the same truck . When i designed it , i wanted it to do more than one task (as usual) . I omitted the two short under body tilt rams and brought the subframe right to the front (they usually stop halfway). I then made a 3 piece headboard and attached the subframe to the center headboard section . I then attached a multi stage dump truck hoist to the other side of that section . This allows me to tip the body to full height if i leave the body forward . Or i can slide the tray body back with the two outer headboards still attached on a low angle for loading machinery .

Steering, stopping and getting stuck were constant headaches.

Yup, one of my college jobs was for a factory landscaping department. Small utility truck with water tank and I nearly rolled it before I learned the tricks of driving water around.

Russian tanks had bufles in diesel tanks to manage the liquid moves for the stop and shoot times, helped a bit.

Ive just loaded the tractor for work tomorrow . As you can see , there is no room left over . I have fitted a towbar so if i need extra implements with me , i can just bring the trailer .

might I recommend a rack over the cab so that if something happens to the loader you wont have it coming through the roof? either one like in this picture or if nothing else a big (3" / 8cm +) upside down U shaped piece of steel channel or box tubing taller than the cab mounted right behind the cab (sort of like the outer frame of this headache rack). it would be a shame for all your hard work to be wasted because the loader control valve got bumped and dropped the bucket (or grapple) onto the cab roof.

So You can use it like a dump truck and you can also use it like a roll back .- correct.?
IF so that's neat.

Yes , i did think about doing that but have found the shortened safety lift ram prop works well to stop the arms from creeping down (you can just see it on the bottom of the left ram , i will make another for the right ram) and you maybe able to see the Yellow chain i have holding the grapple from creeping forward .

Yes , that is correct . These two photos may explain it better . The one with the traxcavator on the back shows the tray about two thirds back , heading for the ground ready to unload . the second photo shows the tray in the forward position about two thirds the full height it can tip . The overhanging nose on the old dump truck was going to touch the ground if i went higher . The engine did not run and the brakes were locked on , so i lifted it high enough that gravity would overcome the tyre friction on the tray and simply lowered it down with the winch . I got bogged with the truck once , i simply lifted the drive wheels off the ground with the tray and then extended the tray which pushed the truck forward 10' and into the dry .

I could also park across a road , tip the tray up full height and send the tray over an embankment to retrieve a car/truck that had run off the road and over the embankment , then lift the whole show back up without further damage to the vehicle .

now that know where to look, I can see them, however if it were mine I would put them on anyways for peace of mind.
But that's just me, I like to be overprepared.
