Now I know why you stayed with New Holland instead of going green or orange . You didn't want to have to repaint your trailer. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Very nice, George! I'm glad your letter to "Santa" brought results. ...now where's my 100 more acres you asked for? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Now here's my New Year's Wish for you.... I hope that a year from now you will be saying you've had a year of trouble-free service. ...and I also hope they don't resell your old tractor to some poor sap who will find out too soon that he's also bought a LEMON .

Congratulations, I'm glad to see New Holland took care of you. Hopefully this one will work better for you. I'm curious though, what became of the strobes? Did you remove them from your other tractor to be installed here later? I know you had spent almost a grand on those, I consider that serious $ (especially for just lights on a tractor), would hate to think you let those go. Just curious.......or nosey however you wanna look at it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jinman, you are kind of right about the color of the trailer. I purchased and painted the trailer while I was having all those problems with my tractor. But I went ahead and painted it blue anyway. The original color was a very sloppy faded red so anything was an improve over the factory paint job even my wife applauded it. I have been working on adding a hydraulic dump to the little trailer and think I just about have it done. Originally it was a jack type dump and that was a pain but so has trying to get a hydraulic cylinder to fit in its place as well.
The strobe system was pulled off my old tractor and is now installed on my new tractor. I need to still dress thing up and drill the headlight housing for the front strobes but it is almost ready for road action. I must add that it is oh so nice to work on a new clean tractor. No dust, no dirt, no crud. My installation on the new tractor is much cleaner and better laid out. I even planned for the possibility of the tractor needing to be split when I placed my wiring. Sales person was a little concerned about the hole where all those switches were mounted so I went ahead and swapped it with the old part since I really did not feel like I wanted to try that again (drilling and cutting) but most important the new guy, who buys the old tractor would not be left with a hole in the fender.
I really do not know what their plans are for my old tractor but I can tell you it has some serious issues with that drive shaft. I do think they will sell it again since they are in high demand for orchard duties. I mentioned before that the tractor looked pretty good at trade-in so they should have no problem selling it if they can get all the problems worked out. The loader bucket was plumb level too; I was amazed considering the amount of work it was used for.
So I have yet to use it since I am a little nervous to get it out there, it may break or something like that. It looks so good just sitting there something I never took any delight with the first one. I may be a little nervous about getting into the drivers seat but hopefully that will change today. I even wheeled my trashcans down to the street instead of using my tractor, now you really know how nervous I am. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
