I wondered about this when I first saw the Roxor. I can't see the harm if it's for off-road use only. Very few people buy Jeeps and take them off-road for serious use, so even that small overlap isn't likely to be an issue for Jeep. I see quite a few Jeeps duded-up to look like serious off-roaders, but a quick glance suggests they are garage queens.

Maybe they'll force Jeep into making a Jeep again instead of a plastic carpeted SUV cup holder that looks similar to a Jeep. :laughing:
I'd like to see the Roxor here along with a basic painted metal interior option from Jeep that could compete with these crazy priced UTV's while still being able to run errands on the street.

I want ballistic protection in the body panels of at least .22.

That would keep my Elbow from caving in the hood when cleaning the windsheild.

They licensed that copy in the WW2 era. What grounds can they complain now? I owned a Bajaj. I would love a real jeep.

I had the last "real" Jeep Cherokee, a 1999 that finally expired not due to mileage (290k; engine still ran like a top) but due to mice chewing a wire *somewhere* that we spent hundreds of dollars trying to track down..... One of the best vehicles ever made IMO; reliable, cheap to maintain and fix. Of course they had to kill it.... The Wranglers are still "real" jeeps; the new Libertys, etc., are a joke. Grand Cherokees (though nice) were never Jeeps. If they brought back the real Jeep Cherokee I'd buy one in a heartbeat. As it is, I'm in the market for a later model (2001) relatively low mileage (<100k) Cherokee. They just don't make 'em like that any more.

Chrysler/Fiat can take a flying leap for all I care since they deep-sixed an American icon. Idiots.:mad:

Grand Cherokees (though nice) were never Jeeps.
...but the early versions could be used as one. Mil (Navy) surplus, same 4 speed on floor as F250, no power anything, no A/C, 304 V8 geared 3.78. Sadly it later got broadsided hard while parked.

Photo 40+ years ago. No I'm not stuck, just posing.
We never saw a tricked-out anything way back in there on the abandoned mine trails, mostly simple 4x4 pickups. Occasionally a Blazer mirror on the ground next to a tight tree passage. :)

Actually the Early Trooper that replaced this was better in every way.
