circulating engine heater install on MX5100

Anyone out there installed a circulating engine heater on their tractor? (MX5100HST)
Wondering where to install hose port connections for best results.
Any info would be appreciated.

What year is your tractor? Do you have egr on your engine? If you don't have egr then you can use the port that it uses on the newer engines for the lower port and there is a port on the thermostat housing to use for the other.

Yours will have the cooled EGR which means the only available location is used by the egr cooler. You may be able to t into the hoses for the egr cooler. I took off my egr system completely and used the connections for a circulating heater.

Is a circulating heater different than a block heater?

yes, a circ heater has an integral check valve on the inlet and acts similarly to a coffee percolator, heats the liquid, and as it expands it moves thru the chamber allowing cooler liquid to enter and repeating the process. a block heater sits in a coolant journal and relies on conduction to warm the engine.
Circ heaters are more efficient, and therefore require less time to do the same job.
