First off my respect to all of you seasoned tractor owners. I can only imagine what it's like to deal with those green horns that keep asking questions about their new (or used) tractors they just got. And let me say thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I just bought my first tractor and absoutley love it. Picked up a Kubota L225 DT (4WD). Kind of embarrassed what I want to use it for (launching my boat) cause I know there are much more serious uses got these great machines.

But it does have a loader, and I hope to find some more uses for it once I
Get the hydaulics fixed (one of the reasons I am here).
After all the more uses I find, the easier it will be to justify to my wife

I have to say, I've never heard of someone launching their boat with their tractor. Maybe I'm just out of the loop about it, but that's a funny thought to me. :laughing: I'd love to see pictures of the process!

Haven't actually tried it yet but will post a picture when I do. Its a small boat but a steep ramp. I am pretty sure the horsepower is there just not sure of the traction. Might need some ballast.

It should have no problems launching the boat. Have fun! Welcome to the tractor club!

The 4 or 5 tractors that I have seen to launch boats utilized a hitch on the front of the tractor. Several of these actually just launched from the bank and not taken around to the boat ramp. Let us know how it works out for you.

By the way with with loader you now have riding wheel barrow!
