Backhoe CK 20 Backhoe Installation

Yesterday I had to put my backhoe back on my CK. It took about an hour to check things out, make sure I had everything lined up, work the hydraulic back and forth to get her up and level, then back the tractor up to fully engage the brackets. Not bad, I think it will only take half the time in the future. I will use better cribbing to store it on to keep it in a better position. I will also mark those dang hydraulic lines! Just by luck, I got them right the first time!

After about 6 times mounting/dismounting my bh to mount the snowblower, I can now do either in about 15 mins. You get a rythum and learn exactly how to leave it.

My dealer put a red ziptie on one of the quick disconnects and the matching line on the bh. Simple yet works so well.

Yea, mine has red ziptie on the upper hose, but nothing on the tractor coupler. I will add a red one to the tractor. Since this was the first time, I just wanted to go through the motions slow and easy. That hydraulic filter is just to easy to mangle and I didn't want replace it before I hit 50 hours!

MY Woods hoe may be different but the ends on one hose are switched so you can't connect them wrong.

It's a good sign when we start mounting backhoes, I love the change of seasons. Switching from cool snow throwing machiones to mean earth digging machines.

That sounds like a good idea. The only question that comes to mind is, if you buy another 3pt attachment that uses those remotes, will you have to switch one of the ends? Or do they come with one of each and I will be the one that has to switch one of the ends.

Yeah, I love this time of year. I still have about 6 inches of frost about 12" down, but the backhoe rips right through it. Playing in the mud is the tough part, although with all the weight and loaded tires it's pretty fun too!

Seasons? Frost? What's that??

I just put mine back on after using the box scraper to level my sons lot! My fittings are not staggered, they are both the same. Now I am taking out a row of long dead Oleander bushes. Those puppies turned out tougher then I thought they would be. I have already bashed up one of my grease zerks on the hoe bucket.

Hi, I installed the backhoe on my CK20 today, it was quite easy considering, the only hard part was attaching the arm due to a one man opperation, fortunatly I have a forklift, put the underside brackets on the loader frame and the rear support, then put the subframe in place and pinned, with the use of the forklift mounted the backhoe, allways remember the hose with the "red" tiewrap is the "top", 3 letters each, just like "port" is "left" for a boat. after that tighten everything and mount the bucket, it took a couple hours but quite easy. I found it a well built unit and even with lower rpm the boom will rotate quite fast, may restrict using a in line flow control, It takes under 15 mims to remove and re install the backhoe, have to remove the top link to clear the seat is the only part removed, all in all this is quite a solid built unit and lots of grease points.

Now have to wait for frost to go and I can start digging, first job is a stream in front of our house.

This is for a Rhino 65A on a LB1914
I removed mine for the first time today to hook up a small rotary cutter I bought. I wanted to make sure the driveshaft they gave me was the right length. It wasn't so I'm glad I checked before I drag all this machinery to my property. The problem I ran into was the torque bracket for the PTO pump gets in the way of the cross member on the subframe.
In the picture my index is pointing to the torque bracket and the middle is pointing to the cross member I'm trying to clear. I may call my dealer next week and see what he recommends. I'm not sure how I removed it but it was even harder going back on.

Wow, I see what you mean! You got the thing off so I am guess there is enough flex in that torque bracket to allow the cross member to slip past it. You may need to add a spacer to the torque bracket and move it 1/2" back, if possible. My unit runs off the tractor hydraulics, so I don't have the pump to deal with.

Seasons??? I thought they only came as wet or dry LOL

I just removed my Rhino cutter and mounted the bh2375 for the 1st time in maybe 6 months - thought I'd never get it lined up. Promised the wife that once house is done, all the tractor implements are gonna have permanent, LEVEL, homes when not mounted.

I found learning to use my bh to be one of life's humbling experiences. I was pleasantly surprised that once I started digging, I was actually doing a quite decent job - even the 18 yo "know-it-all" working for me commented favorably.
