I have a 2014 ck 35 with 250 hrs on it and it has developed a small leak from the HST unit. I would notice a small spot (3" round) on the garage floor after the tractor sits. It's still under warranty so I figured I would take it into the dealer to have it looked at. The loader has also been feeling weak so I wanted them to look at that as well.
I very rarely have anyone do any type of repair work for me. I do everything myself so this is where my question comes from. The dealer said to drop the tractor off and they work on a first come first serve basis no appointments. They said they are three days out on repairs. So I drop it off last Monday and I don't hear anything from them all week so I call them Friday afternoon. They tell me the tractor needs to be split because the leak is coming from the HST unit and it will be a minimum of 2 weeks for the repair. This seems excessive to me but is the the norm? They said they need to split the tractor and then order the parts, wait for the parts and then reassemble. It seems like you would order the parts first so the customer is not without his tractor then start the work?? So in all I will be with out my tractor for a minimum of three weeks. To me this seems way to long but I really don't know if this is normal. They seemed to just push me off when I asked why so long like it's not a big deal for someone to be without there tractor for three weeks.
What's everyone else's thoughts and experiences?
