2018 KIOTI CK3510SE CAB, 2475L BACKHOE, 72 BOX BLADE, 72 REAR BLADE, 72 LANDSCAPE RAKE, 1,250 LB 55 GAL DRUM BALLAST, 2018 FERRIS IS 700Z, 26HP 810 VANGUARD ENGINE
I have a dealer I'm working with on a CK35 and I'm going to have the 1st rear remote installed. I'm debating on having then 2nd one installed also. Its more money than the first one. I'd like to get an idea what other ppl have paid for the 2nd remote? He wants $418 but I got him down to $375. I'm also wondering if I really need a 2nd one. Right now I would need one for the backhoe and when that's removed I'm thinking of getting a top part of a top and tilt (for got what the top peice is called lol). I will also run some hoses up to the loader but not sure I would need to use anything in the back while using the rear remote for something connected to the loader at the same time. Any ideas why it would be good to go with both? I'm also asking because I have 3 rear on my current tractor and a front and I haven't used them yet (I have the tractor sold i beleive).

That $375 sounds good to me. Get the 2nd remote, and get it with the float function. Maybe back to the $418 cost?

Would it not be much much more convenient to be able to use a grapple and a top link without having to stop, get off the tractor, un-plug one set and plug in the other set, over and over again.

You say that you have never used the remotes that you currently have on the tractor that you are selling. Why? Just never got any of those types of attachments or implements it sounds like. Again, why? If you don't use the tractor, then I can understand, if you only mow, I sort of understand.

A grapple is one of the very common attachments used with a loader, but if you have nothing to clean up or move, then not much reason to have one. If you are a person that does not use 3pt implements, then again no reason to have these things, but if you do just about any implement work, then a hydraulic top link is priceless and if you do just about any amount of grading, then a hydraulic side link can be extremely valuable also.

What is it that you will be doing with the CK35? :confused3:

That is a good price for the 2nd remote when getting it from the dealer.

And remember, if you don't get the 2nd remote that slot will be empty and everyone will ask you "what's missing"?

The only reason I haven't used the remotes yet on my first tractor is because I haven't purchased a top and tilt and a grapple yet. I'm thinking I only need a top link now and might end up getting a grapple down the road. I think it make sense as you point out if I wanted to use the top link and a grapple and instead of stopping and un plugging and then plugging in etc. I guess this is what I needed is for someone else lol to point it out for me. I will have it added with the float.
I will be using the tractor for mowing, plowing, re-doing the driveway (spreading some stone), leveling out and area for a carport and general maintenance around the property. I also have a 350' ditch to dig for a small stream on the side of the property.
Thanks for your reply.

Good price. YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY REMOTES. If I ever get a surplus of money (yeah right) I'd put the 2 remotes on the back, and a 3rd function on the loader valve. Grapple, top link, hydraulic back blade, backhoe, the uses for remotes are endless, I do wish I'd had them added at time of purchase. If you get it, you'll find uses for it, if you don't, you'll wish you did.

If you're still working with the dealer on the deal, why not get the top and tilt now and have him throw in the second remote instead. That way you're all set to go.

Its funny you mentioned this. I stopped into an Mennonite farm hsrdware store yesterday that sold all kinds of tractor goodies. I was getting some prices from him on some Woods attachments. We were talking about a top link and some cylinders for a back blade. I was thinking it was expensive for these types if set ups. He gave me prices on a few different things and I thought the prices were reasonable to me. They sell the cylinders and make the hoses themselves and assemble everything. Cant remember all the prices but it was something like $150 for a top link....... not sure if that's high but sounds reasonable to me.

Just be sure to get what you need, not just what they have. ;)
