I used the same reasoning as gravel. I have the shuttle and like it just fine. As many have said the HST is excellent for certain tasks, like short back and forth or manuevering in tight spaces. Shuttle just saves you money, gives a tiny bit more pto hp, and is probably better at long-run, constant speed, ground engaging applications.
