The side discharge mower were made in Italy, and a lot better design. I sold a few back then and have yet to hear from those people with problems. We're talking about the rear discharge mower made by Midwest. They had quite a few, well how should a put it, quirks in their design, which had to be ironed out by the selling dealer. I stopped selling them and started selling rear 3 pt. finishing mowers. Much more dependable with the same cutting results. They were half the price of mid mounts which made them more attractive to buy.

A friend of mine is having same issues with CK20 belly mower belts. Did you do the fix on the mower as you described? Did it work if you did?
We are looking at ideas to fix his so he can afford to mow with it.
