CK20 HST tranny issues

Donny, and DePratt, thanks for straighting me out on this issue. Those hours are just through the roof for splitting that CK20 apart. Why Mathey did you take the CK20 to Wertz in the first place?, after buying from the Bedford dealer? Kioti sounds like they did help out, and authorized quite a bit towards getting this problem resolved.

Wertz is my "local dealer"

they've been around a long time, and a Kioti dealer for at least 3 years (that I know of)

I just left a message with the territory guy, let's see if he calls me back

Hmmm.... Wonder if Wertz is lurking in the background, listening to all this? Anyway, good luck, Mark. I hope you, Kioti, and Wertz can work something out to make it fair. Hopefully, going forward, Wertz will do right by all of us.

Mathey,

Thanks for the detailed bill. You definatly have a dealer that is sticking it to you. Heck, the entire engine could have been changed out in less time. You should write a letter to Kioti, cc them the bill and ask them if their dealer was justified in this amount of time for the repair. I realize that normal flat rate charges do not cover actual time to repair, but your case seems way over the top. Don't just let this lay, go after a fair deal from Kioti corporate. Good luck!

Mathey,

I second the strategy of sending a concise letter to Kioti customer relations with cc to the CEO's office along with your bill. Although messages on TBN get some attention and a phone call sometimes helps, I find that there is nothing quite like a polite but firm business letter to get action from the corporate level. All companies have mechanisms for dealing with letters that are far better developed than for dealing with individual phone calls or emails.

I would also suggest that you resist the urge (justified by the way) to rant. A simple letter stating your disappointment and repeating the basic timeline, outcome and bill would be most effective.

I also hope the prodigal CK20 is rewarming your spirits now that it is home. Don't let the dealer bust up a good relationship with your tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Best of luck.

What an outrage of overcharging! As has been pointed out, to put that hydro unit in in 11 hours in a tractor that was already split is ridiculous. They're charging you for their ignorance.
What a shame anyone has to put up with this type of business practice, but as you say, what is one to do.
Cudos to Kioti for allowing anything, when in their published warranty, they would not have had to pay a dime.
Kioti may or may not approach this dealer regarding this issue, but it's a cinch they won't unless you mail them your concerns.
I know they don't condone this type of dealer behaviour.
I could see an hour or so extra, but not these kinds of times stated in that bill.

Thanks to all for the advice...

Things are in the works to get to the bottom of this...

Did the dealer give you the territory guys name and number?
Does the dealer know your are upset?
How do you think you were treated by the dealer?
Do you think that the whole thing of down time was caused by the lack of parts from Kioti or was it the dealer just taking their time?
Do you think that this is Kiotis or the dealers fault?

no, he wanted to handle it from his end first, it wasn't till the end that he told me to send an email to Kioiti

( Does the dealer know your are upset? )
not yet...up until now he had me convinced that he was doing everything to help me out, and that Kioti wasn't playing along

( How do you think you were treated by the dealer? )
again, up until now, I thought everything was fine and that he was "going to bat" for me with Kioti

( Do you think that the whole thing of down time was caused by the lack of parts from Kioti or was it the dealer just taking their time? )
I was in contact with the dealer almost once a week. It took them about a week to even look at it. Then he told me what the issues were and that it was going to take about 30 hours to repair. Then it took probably a week or two to get the photos down to NC. Then would say one part came in, then another. They finally ended up getting the whole hydro when 2 of their guys were in NC for training and they brought it home with them. So to answer your question, I honestly don't know. If Wertz wanted to put me on the back burner to deal with one of "their" customers, I'm fine with that, but if they think they're going to charge me a "fine" or penalty because I chose to buy elsewhere, they are sadly mistaken.

( Do you think that this is Kiotis or the dealers fault? )
At this point, a bit of both, and partially my fault for trusting both to handle this to MY satisfaction. I trusted Wertz to do battle for me with Kioti. Kioti appears to have helped, but seems to be letting Wertz give me the "shaft" (pun intended!) with no backlash as a dealer from the manufacturer.

I was looking back thru emails and such and we went over this warranty issue so many times over the past few years. I just find it hard to believe that a dealer would do this and that a manufacturer would let this happen. I guess we get tainted here on TBN because we hear from the good dealers so often, it's hard to imagine otherwise.

Again, this is far from over...and when it is, I hope I'll be making a huge apology to Kioti, for any negativity on my part.
