By the way, residual heat mowing tall grass, working the machine on a hot day and heat is coming from the hose and heater box.

Good idea on the shovel holder.
I wonder if we could put a directional valve that could redirect the fluid from the heater box to the outgoing heater pipe and back without unhooking any hoses ?

I like that thought. Ideas?

As to the shovel...I find it so handy to have a shovel with me...one of my favorite attachments /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I found an old military issue shell box for a tool box and I think it is getting mounted on the back of the seat.

My waist worn pistol keeps bumping the three pt. hydraulic lever down so I am thinking of a way to bolt the holster to a strip of metal and then bolt it to the roof so I can keep the pistol handy for pests. Nice little 10 shot rugar .22 with a western holster and four clips on the belt, 3-6 power scope.

I also am looking to put a horn on the tractor as that comes in handy sometimes...like when I want my wife to look out the window so I can point were I am heading next without coming in...

Let me know about the heater...that is a good thought.

I was thinking of mouting 2 3-way valves on the heater hoses. One on each side of the heater box so that with the twist of two small levers, you can transfer fluid flow from the heater box to a crosstube and bypass the heater all together.

I wonder if having the fluid flow through the heater is better for engine cooling or worse. The best way to cool down an over-heating car is to crank the heat to pull it from the coolant. The heater box is almost like a second radiator. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Pray tell, why do you wear a pistol while working on a blueberry farm? To shoot any intruding raspberries?? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

You should only need one of those three way valves and a tee on the other hose.

I found that crows are attracted like crazy to a running brushhog in a field. How fun would a ruger mark2 pistol be for that? I mentioned to the wife that I would love to mount a scabbard for the 22 rifle (also ruger) to pop off crows while mowing.

Right...if the fluid flows in (as you look at the picture) the right valve and out the left valve...you could do it the way you say.
