I guess Kioti does not have enough muscle to push Dwight Goforth around. I still see http://www.kiotisales.com/ is still going strong.

Looks like it is more than one dealer. their site may have been approved

It doesn't look like that site has been updated for over a year...Kioti has had 0.0%/36 months for almost a year and before that I believe it was 2.9%/36 mo. for a little while as well...also, not even a mention of the CK.

Personally I think that big deal if the guy got the website for Kioti.com. There are numerous other dealers out there in other applications where this has happened and they don't play dictator and come down on the dealer. I say good for him he had the foresight to get the domain name. Why didn't the dealer come up with it if they are so good? Their bad if they didn't. No different than buying the best location in town, coming up with an unforgettable sales slogan, etc. A guy gets the upper hand and then they crush him because of it? Sounds to me more like the communist tactics of the country that the tractor comes from and not much respect for american ingenuity and opportunity and the dealer that sold hundreds of tractors to make them a household name in this country.

Whenever you take the name of a corporation as your website, you have to realize, it is a honeymoon type situation.

Actually this isn't true. There have been a # of companies that have sued over use of their name in a website and they lost. Sundowner trailers and Ford are two of them.

Whoa.......The tractors comes from SOUTH Korea. Which the last time I checked was NOT communist. If fact we (USA) have troops stationed there, helping watch the border to the NORTH.

My point exactly. If you choose to use a corporations name, be prepared to be sued at some point down the road when the corp. decides they want the use of their name.

Well yes they are a "republic" so to speak but only because of the US occupation. I was referring more to their mentality. I'd say the same thing about a US company if they did that to a dealer. I still think it's a pretty rotten thing to do. Let all the US dealers use the name and build up kioti tractor. Then after the tractors are established they pull the plug on them and want to give them $200? Some of these corporations and businesses have payed tens even hundreds of thousands for domain names. A local company here had a major mfg.'s name and they went to court. The court ruled the corporation had to pay $400,000 if they wanted the domain name from the franchise.

Leaving the political views aside....My initial point was......when you go to:

www.johndeere.com you get the corporate website of John Deere
www.newholland.com you get the corporate website of New Holland
www.kubota.com you get the corporate website of Kubota

As a consumer, I would anticipate getting the corporate website of Kioti when going to kioti.com, I have no direct knowledge of the agreements between Kioti and their dealers regarding their web presence, so I will reserve comment.
