When I bought my CK20 in 2008, I had looked at a "quick Change" system for the front bucket and pallet forks.
I decided against it because all that was available was a very heavy system for skid steer loaders. I did not want to sacrifice lifting capacity.

Is there any newer "lighter" systems that have come along for smaller tractors?

Actually I was just looking at a friends new 2510 which looks like it's basically the same tractor as the CK20 but with a more powerful engine/hydraulic pump. (Aside from other cosmetic differences.) It comes with a quick change system. I haven't had a chance to make measurements to see if it's the same spacing between the arms etc as the loader on the CK20 but if it is then ya, no reason you couldn't buy that and put it on. Of course likely not cheap... The only tiny cost saving you could do would be to modify your bucket to quick attach instead of buying a new bucket as well. The new bucket looks tougher across the top compared to the older version - not that I've found mine to be lacking in strength there!
I've no idea how much extra weight that system adds. I agree with you on trying to not limit what the loader can lift. But it sure would be nice having a quick change option...
So if you get a price on that let us know!
