So they say the problem with the belt is fixed /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
I had received new belts and passed them on to customers /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Now we wait and see how long they last.
The new belts are black and sloted.

John Depratt, Wallace,

Thanks for the info. I've informed my dealer about the problem and that it should be covered under warranty. Hopefully I can get one of those new black slotted belts before mine breaks!

Were the old belts the BX, VX type of belts, (slotted?), if not that may have been the problem as most mowers the belts are bent in both directions and solid belts were not designed to bend backwards. Thats what a Gates belt representative told me at one time. It made sense to me anyway. Just my two cents worth.

Also if considering a MMM get the side discharge not the rear.
Quite abit of diff. in the gear box and pulleys.
The rear discharge has a gearbox about the size of a Coke can and a small drive pulley.

A little birdie told me this and that is where it stops.
