There you go, RUBBING IT IN! You think I'm not jealous enough already, and you may have the only one for a while! Dad Gum IT!

OH BTW, So far I've had at least 6 monster stumps on my 2 acre piece, with more to come as I continue to cut these 100+ tall pines.
I'll soon be posting my latest project, digging the huge oak.

Yes rubbing it in. Also, rubbing the price in. You got a great deal. When you call to report that the QA worked great, how about making a proposal for a group buy. I would be in and even throw you a bottle of crown royal as a finder's fee.

On the tractor, a 5,6,or 7 foot implement may not be needed for 2 acres but I would strongly suggest that the implement chosen covers the wheel path of the tractor so you can get up next to fences and such.

Nah, that wasn't rubbing it in. This might be however...photo of QA Tree Boom attached.

I think if Millonzi and dealers are smart they will price the QA adapter moderately so that they can also sell CUT appropriate QA attachments. I ordered the tree boom and real forks because 1) price was reasonable and 2) I saved on shipping ordering it all together. ($180 to ship grapple, adapter, forks (heavy!!) and tree boom from OH to MA). They could easily design some other specialized CUT implements for the QA and do a very nice business. Most CUT implements today are 3PT but with a reasonably priced QA adapter and attention spent designing CUT appropriate attachments they could sell tons. I'll post photo of the forks some other time.

How does this fit into the original CK20 vs CK25 thread: just that ya have to look at the whole bang for the buck package, not just HP and size. A CK20 plus an extra attachment or two for the difference in price might well out perform a similarly priced CK25 deal especially if you don't have a focus on ground engaging work.

Island Tractor, that is an unbelievable pile of brush you are lifting. It looks bigger than your tractor and mower combined. I'm not sure if I read what grapple you bought but whatever you have it can do the job. Is it an add on grapple?

I just read your posts on the Owning and Operating section about the grapple, now I have the rest of the story.

That load on the grapple is quite impressive, for sure. Would that rearend have stayed down without that mower on the back? Also, how good does it maneuver in hilly woodlands with that mower hanging out back there?

Right now there are 23 (well now 22) huge stumps on my 2 acres, and something like 30 big trees still standing. Pushing any of them could be very dangerous, especially on hilly terrain. Whoa!!! Look out! Run away 3000 pound rolling object! And will it end up where you want it to be? Skeptical that a CK20 would have had enough butt (traction to the ground) to push that stump once it was sitting on its bottom. For certain chores, there is no substitute for weight, period.

The size of implements might also be the difference between working safely and not. In many cases, the added reach of larger implements beyond the tractor wheels is a real advantage that cannot always be overcome by simply taking more time to do the job. Reach can be a critical selection criteria for some uses. No matter what our wives tell us, size really does matter.

Anyway, we have each chosen the machine that is the best for our purposes. I'm sure the original poster will do the same, now that he knows what sets the two machines apart: mainly weight, size, and implement capacities.

Regarding the grapple load and rear end coming off the ground. I initially started to work on the pile without the bush hog as I did not realize I was going to be able to take such huge bites. I found the rear wheels were coming up a bit so I added the mower. No problem after that.

I managed a monster stump by clamping it into the grapple and then skidding it to a big hole for disposal. I inadvertently went past the place I intended to dump and had to come back up hill (maybe 8-10%). I initially tried to just back up but couldn't so I ungrappled the stump, went around to the downhill side and without any problem reattached and pushed up hill. I was surprised. Traction was not a problem on the turf and I put some load on the tractor by lifting the stump slightly (but not off the ground). Maybe that helped traction. In any case, here is the stump involved. It was a pretty knarly solid mass about 3x4x4. No idea how much it weighed.

I've decided to go with the CK25HST and am awaiting the sticker shock for the 25 with the FEL, box blade, landscape rake and the bh... Actually after getting pricing for somewhat equivalent JD and KB tractors which was sticker shock the Kioti is a great deal for what your're getting.

However I'm sure any residual sticker shock will fade shortly after getting a little dirty in the yard moving some dirt... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's a good day when another has chosen Kioti. I think you'll find you will get a lot for your money. As KiotiJohn says, post some pics.
