My CK20 H TLB, is 18 years old with about 2700 hrs on it. It's still being used on a regular basis with no problems except the hydraulic pump, I'm on my third.

Not bad and unlike Kubota's the paint didn't fade either. In reality, so long as you maintain it correctly, those hours are inconsequential.

Sounds to me like contaminated fluid. Never replaced a pump on either of my Kubota's with big hours on them, not that I'd want to as they are quite expensive.

If he’s on his “3rd” pump…..how does that still mean it’s a good tractor? 🤷

He still owns it, he is still running it, and he seems to enjoy it. If the hydraulic pump is the only issue he has had, awesome. I'd be inclined to ask about the failures, the hours at the time, were any covered under warranty, when was the last failure, etc.

Had a Subaru Baja that went through 3 head gaskets. Nothing else went wrong with that car, and I didn't mind tossing a few hundred bucks at it every few years. It was a good car, with a predictable problem.

Not to mention the CK20, really the CK in general, was a real winner for Kioti financially and is at least partially responsible for their reputation today.

So yeah, I'd argue it's been a good tractor, and I hope it continues to serve Ray well for years to come.

Not to mention it's nearing 3k hours, and still is regularly worked. That's a lot of hours on a small CUT, few see that much use as can be seen from the many threads on the topic. Hell, if a CUT sees 1k hours of use in a decade it's considered rather high, because these machines are so often purchased by homeowners who will never use them out. The flip side of that coin are machines purchased by clueless homeowners who then proceed to beat the tractor until it, unsurprisingly, ***** the bed.

This CK20 is not either of those.

I think running them at to low of rpm may be harmful . I did have a pump go a no. of yrs. ago the shaft broke at 6,000 hrs. it was very cold that winter so thick fluid may have contributed.

Aye, I've always been under the impression that hydrostatic machines enjoy the RPM's.

I totally agree. CK20s are great small tractors. I've owned mine for around five years now. I bought my CK20s with 104 hours on it.

I've also used my CK20S to bush hog wooded property in the hills, pull logs using a log arch, for light excavation, box scraping, lifting logs onto and off of my sawmill and to lift heavy objects into and out of my truck or trailer.

These little Kioti tractors are, pound for pound, just beasts. I have never regretted buying my Kioti.
