CK25 vs. CK30

I was quoted today with front end loaders:

ck25
gear $14,795
hydro $15,837


ck30
gear $16,458
hydro $17,240


I also was quoted a L2800DT Kubota (29 hp)with loader
gear $14,400
hydro $15,400

I never would have thought the Kubota being cheaper....
Is there a big difference?

Big difference??? The Kubota guys will answer that for you. The KIOTI was a better fit for me. When I was shopping, the price difference was a little closer with KIOTI being more. The Kubota L3130 is similar in HP, so you could throw that one in there too I guess. They are all good machines.

When comparing across brand lines, be sure to compare all the specifications. LIttle things mean a lot, Things like synchromesh tranmsission compared to sliding gears, 2 stage clutch, weight, higher lift capacity at 3 point, size of components like axle housings, etc, then there are the little niceties like the tilt steering, adjustable backrest, extendable lift arms, easy to adjust sway bars on the hitch. warranty. I run into this with my customers, they sometimes get caught in a shell game, end up with things like "semi shuttle" transmissions with reverse on the hi lo range lever or lined up with 2nd gear on a stick coming out of the top of the transmission...the other orange tractor (not as pretty a shade IMHO ;-). has a lot of models, some are great tractors and some are low cost tractors, you have got to compare apples to oranges, or is it oragnes to oranges....
