so night before last I sent a message to Kioti on their Facebook page asking if they plan on adding a mid range to the CK2510 model. I got a reply back saying that they have to plans to add one to the CK2510 but next year they are coming out with a new model similar to the 2510 that will have a low-mid-high range. I then asked about size, and got a reply saying it will be comparable to the 2510. Sounds interesting. Anyone else hear of this?

"to" was supposed to be "no". They have "no" plans

I have a CK25 - larger than the 2510, same everything but engine as the CK30. Mine is gear, shuttle shift, 2 range. It has loaded tires and is a dirt moving beast. I've owned it for 9 years now, with about 600 hours on it. I've moved over 900 tons of fill, hundreds of yards of manure and mulch, many tons of big rock, tree stumps, on, and on. If you want a ground engagement machine to move earth, there is not substitute for weight. The hydraulics flow rate on the Kiotis is another selling point.

I helped my FIL find a CK20 (same tractor basically as the CK2510). It was manual too. He likes it; it does what he wants. Ask Islandtractor in the Kioti forum what he thinks of the CK20. It's a real nice tractor. While a 3 range HST is nice, it wouldn't be critical in decision process. I operate in low almost all the time. It's plenty fast enough for most ground work.

The only time I wouldn't opt for the heaviest tractor I could afford is when using for long-term mowing chores on lawns. Heavy tractors can compact the lawn or make ruts (depending on tires). For this reason, my Kioti stays off the lawn as much as I can. If you are going to buy a tractor to mow, and move a little earth, lighter might be best with no loaded tires, where you add weight when needed. But added weight isn't the same as frame/tire weight.

The Kubota B's are pretty nice little tractors. Great all-around machines, especially with a cab when snow blowing is in the mix. But, really light. I don't know that they are, but they look to be narrower too.

I absolutely love my Kioti. It is still the best ground engagement machine for the money.

My reason for getting a Max28 Shuttle new leftover back in Dec 2014 was

Price
Not a tier 4
Transmission (Very Nice 8x8)
3 Pt capacity
Decent loader ( But hate Loader Valve)

You can find my review over at the Mahindra section

after a bit of cutomization, I'm basically liking the tractor.

Re: CK2510 vs B2650 or Max 26?

Yeah I like the Max28. A lot of power for it's size. Between the Max28 and a CK2510, I'd probably opt for the Max28. But, for the same money as the Max you could probably get a CK30 or CK35, both of which are a bit bigger and heavier than the Max28. I buddy of mine bought a Max28. I tried to talk him into a CK35. He wouldn't get one just because I owned a Kioti and he wanted something different. I think he wishes he had a bit more tractor now. People's reasoning never ceases to baffle me.

So yesterday I went and looked at the ck2510. I was more than impressed with the tractor and dealer. He seemed like a straight up honest guy. I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on it. One thing though was he quoted me tractor, loader, and 4ft boxblade and rotary cutter. Do you think I should get 5ft with this tractor? This will be my first tractor purchase and I want implements I can manage.

You could probably Handle either box blade just depends on what you want. I like one to be as close to my tire tread as poss maybe a couple inches wider wider. As far as cutter it will pull a 5' but the 4 will be a much better fit. Good rule of thumb is 5 hp for every foot. With hydrostat tranny you can go a bit less because you can adjust your speed infinitely for conditions. I had a 5 ' one on One of the predecessors to the ck2510 and traded for a 4' and was much happier.

Thank you for everyone's opinions. I took delivery of the Ck2510 on Tuesday this week. Have not had a chance to play on it yet, but it looks nice in the yard :) Is there a resource to buy Kioti factory option add ons? I would like to buy the factory rear work light, but was wondering if that is something that can only be purchased through the dealer?

Dealer only for Kioti attachments.

I put 1600 hours on My Kioti CK20 before selling it and getting a new CK2510, I have a backhoe (same unit for both tractors), fel, 60" REAR SNOWBLOWER for tihe ck20 and a Kioti front end blower for tihe ck2510, forks and 60" boxblade, I have always gotten along just fine withi thie HST and two speed range.

While I love the Kubota B26 and at one time nearly bought one it is not hard to see that the Kioti is thie heavier of the two tractors. Grab a hold of a fender on the rear of the Kioti and then compare the feel of the fender aboard the Kubota. Give or tryi to give em both a shake. That is just one example but it speaks volumes and that is just the way it is. Having said all this bothi tractors are winners.

Don't get in a rush on that light. You might find, like I did, that you also need auxiliary front facing lights. The headlights are severely impaired by the loader. Like many others, I made a light bracket for my roll bar with two front-facing and one rear facing light. Several ways to wire. I used the auxiliary spare fuse location and wired from fuse panel to a marine switch mounted on the 3PH lift lever cover. Works great.
