Hello all.

I just purchased a 2017 CK2610 HST w/ FEL and Backhoe used. It has 70 hours on it. The prior owner said he had it serviced recently but I want to change all the filters and fluids before I start using it.
My question is how do you drain/flush the hydraulic fluid out of the backhoe? I know it's part of the tractors hydro system through the remotes but I would think some fluid stays in the hoe. How do I make sure to drain all of it?
And, does anyone know how much extra fluid it might hold?

Thanks

Yes, there are some fluids left in the backhoe, but not a considerable ammount. This is a common place to overthink things. One could certainly brake open some fittings and drain the oil out of each cylinder. But I think exposing the internals to air, which allows for a hard hammer when fluid is reintroduced, is worse for the equipment, then changing the oil is good for it.

Don't worry about the implements.

That logic works for me. Thanks

ONe more question on Hydraulic Oil. I plan to go with Shell Rotella HD UTF or Mobil 424. Any preferences to either or?

Lots of opinions on oil, but since you mention Mobil 424, it is one of the favorites around here, amoung others. 424 is also mentioned on kiotis list of acceptables.

Your tractor would do well with it.

Thanks for the info.

Now can anyone that knows clarify what HST and Hydraulic Filters my tractor takes. The manual says one thing but various searches I've done give me different part numbers.
My local dealer lost my potential for any business after giving me the cold shoulder for buying a used machine locally. Not to mention their parts department has no sense of urgency from what I have heard.

Thanks

According to another thread here on TBN... https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums...g/386255-ck2610-hst-hydraulic-hst-filter.html

As for the CK2610
Engine Filter: Kioti E6201-32443 = Wix 51324
Hydraulic Filter: Kioti T2185-38031 = Wix NA
HST Filter: Kioti T5855-46531 = Wix 51621

Check around locally but these guys are hard to beat. Note the Mobil rebate and free shipping.

Thanks for the Summit link. Recommendations on gear lube for the front axle? I can't seem to find anything in bulk quantities other than the cheap stuff at tractor supply.

In the Kioti manual it says you can use the Mobil 424 in the front axle also. Thats what I did and it seems like a lot of others do the same. I purchased 7.5 gallons to do the 50hr service on my CK2610. Changed filters, filled the tranny and front axle and had about a gallon left over.
