Hello,
I've decided to go for the CK2610 HST machine (open station). Having read a lot of details and finding there to be many options, i'm wondering if there are standard items that one would want from dealer up front.

I'm going to get a loader, a snowblower (3 PTH unit), forks, rotary cutter, and leaning towards a grapple (vs a land plane) now.

I'm not certain what's standard, so this will help me to work with dealer to be certain up front (you can tell..i have no idea at all :)

Thinking will need
1) remotes for rear
2) 3rd remote for grapple
3) rubber mat for floor
4) is block heater standard? will be needing it for certain

THings I"m not sure on:

1) 3 point hitch items: telescoping arms and top link?
2) not sure what a rear quick hitch is? can that wait?
3)loading of rear tires?

Any items that you would want to get when you first buy, I"m interested to understand. not looking to throw away money, but definitely want to incorporate things up front.

THank-you,
H

Obviously the needs in the midwest USA may be a little different that up there in Ontario.
The first 2 things (rear remotes) you will need especially if the snowblower has a hydraulic chute, floor mat a good idea, block heater?, maybe up there in Canada. You need the 3rd. function for the grapple.

The 3 pt. telescoping arms, yes, makes hooking up a lot easier. Kioti doesn't offer a telescoping top link, it screws in and out.
A quick hitch I don't recommend, doesn't fit all implements. Will be taking it on and off.
Load rear tires, yes, gives more ballast on the rear for loader functions and keeps the tires down in the snow and ice. Will add 5-600 lbs. depending on tire type and type of fluid. Recommend beet juice.

You mentioned land plane as a possibility. What kind of driveway do you have and how long is it? Also, is it on a steep grade?

You don't have any implements for gravel driveway maintenance, ie. back blade, box blade or land plane.

I have a 2610 hst and I got the telescoping links rear remotes and the third function. I too got Forks and a grapple and found that given the weight of the grapple itself I needed extra weight on the rear despite having loaded rear tires. I built a counterweight but you can decide if you want a counterweight or if you’d rather have an attachment on the back . I also added a sunshade canopy and I’m very glad I did, it keeps sun rain and snow off for the most part, it’s not a cab but it’s a big plus in my book. I also got the linked pedal which increases engine RPM proportionally to the amount you are depressing the HST pedal, it’s great for some applications that require a lot of traveling. I added some things after the original purchase, I installed LED work lights fore and aft and I went back to the dealer this spring for a backhoe. Financing on the backhoe wasn’t as attractive as financing the original tractor purchase so I’d have been wiser to buy that along with the tractor. I’m not sure about your winters but I’m in central New Hampshire and my tractor started really well all winter with no block heater. My tractor stays outside under a shed roof behind the barn so it got as cold as anything outside did and it gave zero fuss about starting. All in all I’m very happy with this machine, I just rolled over 150 hours with zero problems, my dealer is great ,I’d buy this machine again in a heartbeat.

I have a 1300 ft +/- gravel driveway. It's in good shape... now i'm looking to maintain it. Figured to grab the land plane or what not next year (after a winter of blowing/moving snow). My grade isn't steep. For the most part is level, with a slight uphill that i'll be keeping a sandpile for to keep manageable over the winter if need be. For the most part, have never sanded it, the sand would be dropped if I needed some help for tractor traction vs getting my vehicles out.

Very cool. I'm thinking a canopy would make a lot of sense to have. Seems like telescoping links, rear remotes and third function are key.

What size grapple did you go for, and from what company?

I'll definitely want some good lighting. Especially for late night snow blowing/clearing when the occasion requires it.

Thanks!

A block heater (I can put on a wifi outlet to turn on remotely) is something I'd use for sure. IT takes some stress of starting and doesn't use much juice. (we get -30 C or less here ....so -22F... block heaters will help get things moving a little easier.)

Thanks for the quick hitch note...I'll not look into that for now.

loading of tires sounds like a good call.

I'm putting a list together for my final details in order to make an offer and insure i'll have what makes sense to get through some maintenance this fall and the winter snow removal.

My grapple is a 60 inch titan . It’s heavy, I think if I knew then what I know now I’d spend a few hundred more and buy the Everything Attachments grapple as they use a higher grade steel that gives better strength and weighs considerably less. For lighting I went to Superbright LED’s on the web. They had everything I needed, light fixtures, wiring harnesses and they had illuminated rocker switches that fit perfectly in the rectangular holes that are pre cut in the dash. Just pop out the block off plates that come from the factory and press the switch in, a really nice finished appearance when you are done.

The factory canopy was a $400 add-on which was well worth it for me, but I live in the south so YMMV.
The Kioti backhoe is pretty awesome too (and adds $$$$ to the price).

I'd like to be able to use grapple to pull out scrub from ditches along my driveway. Thinking to get the rake edge for the bucket to help with getting rid of that crap as well. There are SOO many grapple choices. The other thing i'd like to do is lift a log up for cutting with chain saw.

As for lights, what fixtures did you get? Thanks for tip on the Superbright website. I will definitely want strong lighting.

Thanks again,
H
