More stringent EPA requirements went into effect Jan 1. (tier III I think, depending on HP class). This is why they cant get any more DK65s in country.
DirtHauler said:Just curious, but what does it mean " emission compliance"? Does it have a "soot" collector with re-generation like on road vehicles? Will you be required to run ULSD fuel? along with the expensive LS engine oil? And will these engines be required to pass an emission test every couple years or so?

dfkrug said:Well, CA has not done emissions testing for on- or off-road Diesels, despite setting standards in that area. No testing for motorcyles either. Go figure.
You do NOT want to get behind a Dodge Diesel PU with a poorly running
engine!
Newer combustion chamber and FI design has certainly made for quieter and
less stinky Diesel tractors. I like that, since I am cursed with sensitive nose
and ears. My 05 CK30 is a delight to drive; my 98 B21 is awful.
I just looked at the new CK brochure. For you Kioti dealers who read TBN,
you need to get the factory to publish honest specs on weight and the
hyd implement pump flow (8.3GPM).
