Amazing how a hog can shred the forest. This is the difference between clearing and grubbing. By shredding in place I leave the nutrients in place, erosion is controlled, and my burn pile is minimal.

This area is next after the doctor lets me back in the saddle.

This shredding work really consumes fuel but I think the results are worth the effort.

Last one. On the left is how it starts, can't even walk through it, and on the right is how it ends up. If you haven't noticed I also limb the trees as high as I can reach with the chainsaw from the ground.
