I've never had to do what you did. With the tractor off I just push. They are a little hard and I'm giving it a good push but never had to break a line or use a screw driver to relieve pressure. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't know how you store your BH when you take it off, but if you have the stabilizers up, next time drop them down before you try to hook up. That will relieve pressure if you didn't get it all out.

When you're going to unhitch, it helps if you not only move the BH controls around to relieve pressure, but have the loader up, turn off the tractor, and then lower the FEL and operate all its functions as well as the BH functions. You won't have any pressure left.

I actually take mine off with the stabilizers down, then before I disconnect the hoses, I raise them back up once I have it stable on the pad. Before I hook up again, I let the stabilizers back down.

I haven't had that problem with the BH but did have trouble reattaching my grapple last week. Turns out you need to relieve pressure not only from the female side but also the male side of the QC. The female side is easy as described above. To do the male I put a cloth around it and tapped the tip with a hammer. Worked great (thanks Rick Wallace for the tip).

I've found that I have stored pressure on the BH lines preventing them from being reinserted. So, if I understand this correctly, have the machine off when disconnecting the lines? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have never thought about it until you made mention of turning off the tractor when you disconnect. Maybe that's why I don't have as hard of a time when reconnecting. I do that because I would then turn the valve under the tractor before driving away. I also just thought it was safer being that you are dealing with hydro fluid at high pressure.
