An the hits keep on coming. If you look at my eariler posting you will see what I have been dealing with. Well add to that now all my gauges shut off after running my tractor for as little as 5 minutes and I have to use the kill switch to shut it off. Next step is back to the dealer. ck30 hst 147 hrs. Which for me in my location is not an easy thing, so if anybody can suggested something I will be more than happy to try it and thankful.

Hello Dirtcutter, You problem sounds like the same one from the beginning. Have you checked all your ground connections? It seems like you have a loose or oxidized terminal , check both battery terminals and at your ground to frame attachment point. What dealer did you buy from if i may ask? Did you explain this situation to your dealer, perhaps they could send a tech to you.. Matt

We have moved since buying my tractor, but I just found out there maybe a dealer alot closer. I did speak to the dealer by phone he said the same thing you are saying about the cables. But I have gone over every connection and still nothing. Today is the last day am working on this, if I cant solve it am taking it to a dealer. Thanks for helping.

Were you able to hear a clicking, when you reattach one of the battery cables? There are not a lot of things (compared to a car) that could be drawing that kind of current. Flattening a battery in 30 minutes is a pretty good draw.

Something loosely related to the gauges, and starting, could be the ignition switch? I have noticed on mine that it is starting to get a little loose, after 110 hours. My tach doesn't always work, and a little jiggle, seems to be the trick.

God Bless,
Wiley

As WileyKioti mentioned, check the ignition switch. I remember a past post where water entered one switch and the tractor had similar problems. Also, I think, someone had lubricated their switch with lock graphite oil and had similar problems until cleaned out. You can also try disconneting all the leads to the alternator and check for the drain. This will eliminate a short or bad diode trio in the alternator. If you have had enough checking, we can all understand. ;)
