Hey Willie glad you got your problem solved.. Question for you, i see you have the woods forks.. Have you tried to lift any pallets they weigh a ton ? Reason i ask is i bought a wood pellet boiler and was wondering if id be able to move the pallets around with a set of forks. I only have to lift them a foot or so to be able to move them. I also considered a 3 point fork, but i dont know if that would be any better.. Any ideas ? Matt

Low tire pressure - now that was great news!! And no, you're not an idiot. If anything, you will likely have helped somone else.

The question about your forks - you have the woods loader, correct? I know that you're aware, but others should remember that the lifting capacities are different.

I have never lifted a "known" weight that big. That 28" x 10' green sawlog in my avatar was sure heavy and it lifted it fine. The tractor was unbalanced because I had nothing on the 3pt. I don't think I've hit relief with the forks on the loader, but I've sure lifted the back end of the tractor up more than a few times. :D A ton is a bit optimistic, but if the weight was placed as close to the back as possible, forks curled slightly, proper balast in place and the weight carried close to terra firma.............I sure wouldn't bet against the Woods. That close to the limit, I'd sure want smooth and relatively level ground though. If I had a safe place to try it, I would.

Are you getting the pellets in a bin of measured weight or pallets of bagged pellets? If bagged you could re-distribute the weight to manageable palletized units.

Sorry I can't be any real help Matt.

I would never have thought to check the tires spinning on the rims for that problem. That was a good post. I have my ck30 hst for over three years and I don't think I checked the air in the tires yet. I am pushing 400 hundred hours and the only problem I had was an injector problem that was repaired under warrenty. Happy for you that it was a easy fix.

I had the injector pump go last winter as well. Mine did the same thing, revved to the sky and scared the cr@P out of me until I manually shut the fuel off. Got it to run briefly twice after that, enough to get in the garage. Mine was replaced under warranty, no problems since. It was a silly little shaft or some such, small part that malfunctioned but the nature of those pumps is it doesn't take much to throw 'em off kilter. I spoke to two different techs that had seen a very small number of them go like this, sounds like a bad source on some of the internals. The only other issue I've had with mine was a bad headlight relay fixed painlessly under warranty. Left for work one day, came home and it was fixed. I really miss being near my original dealer. Rodick's is the best.

I really am glad my little "lesson" is valuable to the rest of the pack. To be brutally honest I believe the last time I checked my tire pressures was about a year ago. It will now be part of my regular check up when I grease everything.

When my injector pump went it would revup high and then it would not rev up at all. I changed the fuel filter and could not get it to start. I called the dealership and was told it was the rack in the injector pump. Had it repaired under warranty and all seems ok.
