OK, that was last of the pics.

So what comments/observations/lessons learned:

1. I really love this tractor (apparently so do all who saw it). /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
2. The pallet forks have more than paid for themselves already.
3. The ATI Quick tach is worth every penny when switching from forks to bucket and your body already aches.
4. Using the BH is gonna take a lot of practice.
5. When working close quarters know where both ends of the FEL bucket are - I knocked a deck corner post askew. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif wife not amused.
6. Detent feather on FEL is very useful smoothing dirt and gravel.
7. I'm gonna need a sunshade.
8. My "seat" was always wet when it rained.
9. The water tank guy was quite impressed when I pulled (with nylon strap) his flatbed up the muddy hill, and then pushed him out the gate.
10. The plumber was impressed when I pulled his 4x4 F150 up the same hill using the backhoe /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
11. I got the tractor struck near cesspool dig, but also got out (eventually)
12. The 4x8x4 pool crate weighed more than I could lift, but managed a controlled fall off the container. I could the drag it by lifting one end with the forks.
13. A FEL bucket full of gravel is sure more pleasant to move the a wheel barrel or plastic bucket.
14. I'll never dig as pretty a hole as George Sr /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
15. Wife's last question as I left : "where did you hang the tractor key?" /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

When I return in Oct, I'll have to put on the 3PH and try out my other toys (I mean tools) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good luck buying gas in Atlanta, they've gone nuts.

If someone had said last Sunday I'd be paying more for gas in Atlanta today than Hawaii (2.76) - I would have rolled on the ground clutching my gut...
Today I paid 3.09, yesterday, lines were way to long and some greedy @#$%^&* supposedly charged 8/gal until TV showed up.
Hate to think what will happen to diesel prices /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Dave, it's really great to hear from you. I was going to ask you about the gas prices in Atlanta. I saw one report of over $6/gal.

I'm glad to see you are having a great time with CK. I knew you would.

Should I start planning my training trip yet? Do you have my cot ready?

I hope you didn't tell her. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif You will have to do some more shopping in Atlanta for another tractor before you leave. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well John, I just booked my return for Oct 26th, so best you plan not to arrive before then. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Not only have 2 cots but the sleeper sofa....
I expect I'll be making the backhoe to 3PH transition within that 1st week or two - sure hope I can find all the pieces.

Thanks Ron and Jay. I was initially disappointed in the pic set as none captured any "progress", but upon reflection they sure do journal a lot of hard work.

Don't forget to switch the power beyond control back over after you remove the backhoe and before you start up the tractor. Otherwise, the hydraulics won't work right, and the tractor won't run well. It's on the main valve body up under the right floorboard from what I remember.
