CK30/l3400 pricing

Yes you are right. I did not compare the specs closely enough. The 3pt cap. on the CK30 is definitely higher by a reasonable margin.

I find it interesting that loader capacities are nearly equally matched. On the backhoe, the L3400's backhoe has a higher bucket digging force (about 25%).

The DK45 is really best compared to the GL4740. I haven't compared their specs but I know that the DK has a beast of a loader that outspecs all others in its class.

Overall, I'm in agreement that the Kioti's are offering excellent value over Kubota's. With a $3 K in savings, and what seems like a decent dealer locally, the OP definitely made a good choice.

One thing that is interesting is that the Kubota loader cycle times are much faster. Not sure why this is.

There are a couple of Kioti backhoes, where they have upgraded to the new curved arm loaders. Haven't really looked at them. I opted for a different make loader when I bought: Rhino 75. One or two users were having trouble with the Kioti at the time. So, that's why I went Rhino. It's been good so far.

Everyone raves about the Woods backhoe, which can also be had for the Kioti.

It's seems these tractors from all manufacturer's kinda interleave in capability and size. Guess that's deliberate. But, it's good for the buyer. He can find what fits his needs best without much worry about quality. Not unlike cars, these days just about everyone is making a good product.

Congrats and "Welcome to the pack"

What exactly did you get? The CK 30 I assume with a loader?

I ended up with a CK30 HST with a QA loader with bucket and forks, rear remote, bucket hooks, rear worklight, and a 6' rear discharge finishing mower.

I'll buy a 6' blower for it next summer.

I already have a 5' rotary cutter, ballast box, and PH auger.

Come on Spring.

a.p. Well done! Post us some pictures when you get your rig.

Btw a.p.

I'd appreciate if you could me know (or post) what you were being quoted for the L3400 HST with a loader.

Just trying to keep abreast of local pricing for my rig. As you know, prices have moved around a bit with the exchange rate.

I was down to either a Kubota L4400 or a Kioti DK45SE last summer.
I went for the Kioti even though the Kubota dealer was 30-40 miles closer.
Both tractors have a reputation for reliability. Kioti has been in the US for some 20 years or so I believe.
Better price, features that were standard on the Kioti that were extra on the Kubota, better loader performance and a more modern design were the reasons.
I do not have a truck/trailer large enough to tow either tractor so I purchased a shop manual with the intent to do all of the scheduled maintenance and avoid having a dealer pickup for service.

Wow thanks for the speedy response.

You don't have concerns about the fact that Kioti is a much more recent entry into the North American market e.g. warranty, parts availability, dealer network, etc.?

Some other suggestions:
- Get two remotes on the CK30 installed as part of the deal. When you are making the whole deal is the best time to negotiate this stuff in. It will cost you a lot less right now and you will be thankful in the future.
- Get a hydraulic top link - either get the dealer to get you one, or order one from CCM. This is the BEST money you will spend. After having gotten both top n tilt, I would not spend the money on the sidelink again. I reallly don't use it at all.
- Get a sunshade canopy worked into the deal and some work lights installed (two front and two rear) on a separate circuit.
- Get three chain hooks welded onto the bucket.
- Get a Pat's

Good advice. I'd add that getting the rear tires loaded by the dealer at time of purchase will also save you hassle and $$.
