Oil & Fuel CK30 oil leak help needed

Bought a second hand CK30 with 215 hrs. on the clock. It had been standing for several months unused in the UK outside. When it was collected by the transporters an oil leak developed from the enfgine. When it arrived here in the south of France. I topped it up and started it to get it off the transporter and the oil just spurted out within a few seconds there was a massive pool. Cannot see exactly where it is coming from but somewhere above the oil filter. The flow is so great as tho' a pipe has burst. Any ideas how to progress with the repair. Seller denies any knowledge saying it left him OK. So its up to me to repair it.

Can you tell if it's engine lube oil or hydraulic oil?

There is a small rubber cap on the injection pump for filling the engine with oil, make sure that's in place.

There are several high pressure oil pipes and hoses in that area. The hydraulic pump, the fuel injection pump, the oil filter, etc.

Don't run the engine until you find it.

I wonder what the odds are that their are 2 o-rings on the oil filter??

Sometimes when you change the oil, the old seal sticks to the engine and when you put the new one on you have two seals and will cause it to leak really bad.

Its easy to just spin the filter off and check.

I have found the problem! Took of the oil filter and washed it out with petrol before I was going to put it back when I noticed the petrol leaking out of the filter. On closer examination there was pin hole in the side. I made a tempory seal with a self tapping srew. Refilled with oil and started the engine. Voila no oil leak! There was a rust stain on the area concerned and I think that while the tractor was standing water had collected on the filter and rusted partially through. So when I tested the tractor it did not leak. But it had to be driven some distance to be loaded and during this trip the oil pressure must have finished the job. A great releif! Just hope no other damage has occured. I am off to the dealer tomorrow for a full set of filters and replacement oils in case any of the other systems have been contaminated with water ingress.

Looks like an easy fix. The CK30 engine holds 6 quarts of oil, so unless a good bit was pumped out, you should be good.

My Ck30 sat outside in the rain for the first couple of years I owned it, many sit outside on dealer's lots for years too. That's OK. The ignition switch is also a weak point if the little plastic cover was not deployed and water got in.

So where in France? How scattered are the Kioti dealers in Europe? Does this mean that if I tour Europe wearing my Kioti cap I'll blend in with the local countrymen

Kinda impressive to see Kioti's global footprint. What's their global market share?

I live in the South of France near Perpignan on the Spanish border. Fortunately the nearest dealer is in just in Spain. They are cheaper and more busness like over there! Changed filters and all in working well - so far.
