ck30 or dk45s

Having a hard time deciding weather I need a 30hp or a 45hp.I do not want to buy to small of a tractor but on the other hand I don't want to spend the money on the 45 if I do not need it. I bought 20 acres of land, drive way 600 ft. Need to brush hog 10-15 acres and finish mow 5-10. Land is cleared off but needs lots of finishing. I will use tractor in winter to keep drive way cleaned, and would like to build some of driveway with tractor. any input would be apprieciated.

I use a DK 35 on 15 acres and very similar type work and find it a good size for my needs.
I recommend a minimum of 35 or 40 HP, to run at least a 6' brush cutter and a 84" finish mower.

I think that you should definitely look at the DK35.
I think that would be about right size, hp, and $$$

I think the 30 is a tad bit small. I would go larger and get the job done faster.

I picked the 45S. The DK35 would of done everything I needed, but in my case, the price difference was next to nothing. Any of the DK series tractors would do what you need. I personally liked the looks of the new 45S and the new loaders performance. I agree that the DK35 is plenty of tractor for what you need.

I chose the 45s over the 30. In my opinion, price difference is nil when you compare the features of the 45s. I'd rather have the added HP and weight that the 45s provides. Anxiously waiting to receive my 45s /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
