I too having been taking a close look at the CK30HST and the L3130HST. The L3130 is a little more tractor (especially with the LA723 loader factored in), but I am trying to figure out if the higher cost is fully justified. To those of you who know, what would be the low end of the "deal" range for a CK30HST with a KL130 loader? There is only one Kioti dealer within sniffing range of me, and I would like to know going in what a favorable quote for this set up might be.

Riddler, please take any prices you get with a grain of salt unless the prices are from a dealer somewhere near you (within several hundred miles) because you will find that tractor pricing is very regional on all brands. A deal in Illinois might be higher or lower than a deal in California. If you can buy from an out of state dealer you may get better deals than locally, but you have to add in the cost of shipping. I found that I could do as well locally as I could when I priced out of state, and in some cases the local guys were cheaper than the best prices I found on the internet and better than the NC dealers (I talked to 2 of them).
As for your question of if the L3130 is justified, that will really depend on the tasks you are trying to accomplish. Each machine has its strengths and weaknesses, each machine is better suited to some tasks than others.

Thanks for the thoughts Bob. The dealer I will visit is close to me, but I have no suitable option after that, unless I am prepared to drive three hours. The dealer also carries McCormick, so I am wondering whether he might have a bit of an incentive to keep his Kioti prices a little higher (might be more difficult to move the crimson beasts if the dogs are priced too well).
From the threads I've searched, it appears that something in the $15K range would be darn good (machine and FEL only). I have not done any better than $18K for the L3130HST with LA723 loader, so the CK would become mighty tempting indeed at the lower price.
In the end, though, it's going to be up to the dealer because I've decided that dealer proximity is a big factor in my final buying decision. If I can't find a way to do business with this dealer, I'll likely pay a little more and do business with one of the several "big three" dealers that are nearby.
