Thanks so much for the post there! I took apart my dash and put it all back tonight. I was looking to see if the connection wasen't good. It was fine and I dabbed a spot of dielectric grease on the one pin. Did that to the pickup sensor as well. Yes, grasping at straws I know. There was no change. But I was starting to question the pickup sensor as I never measured 481hz which is 850rpm. But you're confirming for my it does idle at 1000rpm which sounds right then because mine was around 560 and Kioti says 1000rpm is 560hz so it must be working. Dang!
The dealer is going to let me return that DU though so that's good.
